Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. This ensures that reviews are unbiased and based solely on the content of the manuscript. Our reviewers are experts in their fields, selected for their expertise and commitment to advancing health equity.

• Initial Screening: Manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team for relevance and compliance with our submission guidelines.
• Peer Review: Suitable manuscripts are sent to at least two independent reviewers for evaluation.
• Revision and Resubmission: Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' feedback.
• Final Decision: The editorial team makes the final decision based on reviewers' recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.

Open Access Policy

Betta Health Equity Journal is an open-access journal. All articles are freely accessible online immediately upon publication. This ensures that research findings are available to a global audience, promoting widespread dissemination and impact.

Ethical Publishing

We adhere to the highest ethical standards in publishing, guided by the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Our ethical guidelines cover issues such as authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, and data integrity.

• Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and approved the final manuscript.
• Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the research or interpretation of results.
• Plagiarism: We have a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All manuscripts are checked for originality using advanced plagiarism detection software.
• Data Integrity: Authors must ensure that all data presented in their manuscripts are accurate and have been obtained in an ethical manner.

Publication Fees

To support open access publishing, Betta Health Equity Journal charges a publication fee for accepted manuscripts. This fee covers the costs of peer review, editing, and online hosting. We offer fee waivers and discounts for researchers from low-income countries and underrepresented groups.

Appeals and Complaints

We value the feedback of our authors and reviewers. Authors who wish to appeal a decision or lodge a complaint should contact the editorial office. All appeals and complaints are handled promptly and fairly in accordance with our policies.
